I made a few pieces for the cannabis awareness festival at Central Connecticut State University.

This necklace features twists and square knots. In the center are black beads, red beads, and a key.

This necklace is made of thinner hemp. The knotwork starts on either side of the dragon charm.

This men's bracelet has three alternating beads in the center. It's made with very thick hemp

This necklace is made with thin hemp of two different colors. The twist knots allow the pattern to alternate.

This bracelet has alternating wood beads of black and brown.

This 9 inch anklet is made up of eight strands of hemp, weaved together. What I did was collect 4 strands of hemp and fold them over creating 8 total strands. I did 3 regular knots on either side with 4 strands still available in the center. Then I did 3 regular knots in the middle of those center 4 strands and repeated the process. Unfortunately I also managed to get a hemp splinter on my finger (this hemp is a little rough and those pieces you see in the picture that are poking out...they make a mean splinter if you get one fine enough in your skin.

This 10" anklet was started with 3 regular square knots. Then I would do one complete spiral, thread a plastic bead, then one complete spiral, and then repeat the process. I ended with another 3 regular square knots and an end bead for looping. This can also be used as a necklace for a child.

This hemp necklace was made with alternating square and spiral knots. At about 5 inches in I started adding the main beads so the center bead would be at 7.5 inches. There are plastic and wooden beads with the glass pendant in the center. The hemp necklace uses regular thickness for the hemp.

This Gothic inspired necklace features a metal black rose in the center. On either side are black plastic beads and red acrylic beads. The ends of the necklace have not been cut so it is extendable. How I made this was starting from the center with 3 strands of hemp. I made a knot on either side of the metal rose and then began with the knots, duplicated on each site. Having only one center thread made it easier to string the beads with a smaller hole.
